Big Boy decided to vomit a large quantity of fish flavoured cat food all over the upstairs of my house this morning - no matter what I do I can't shift the stench of rotting fish. I cleaned it up immediately and used vanish oxy action carpet cleaner, than have been using a combination of Oust and Febreeze all day but the stench just returns. what do I do?
I found it all over the place, but I'm sure I got it all. The worst of the smell is at the bottom of the stairs, he puked at the top and I can only assume the smell is sinking.
Vodka works as a cleaner. Also, check for hidden sick. Even if you think you got it all, there's probably more. Whenever my cat throws up he hides some first then does it in front of us so we can go treasure hunting.

I found a last pile under Sebastian's bed, he fooled me by puking under there twice! The combined force of Febreeze and Oust seem to have done the trick, the house seems fairly pleasant upon my arrival frm work today, which is a relief!
