I have to disagree. It's an entirely different listening experience. You can't listen to it at, say, a party, or any other type of social place. You have to listen to it alone, with nothing distracting you from the music, and it sucks you in for one of the most intense musical experiences ever.
Just listen to Wormphlegm. The only way you can enjoy them is when you're alone.

At least try and construct a decent argument in your defence Lev, you've enough people who hate your internet persona you ninny.
I can't testify to loving this stuff either myself, i do dig the ambience but i don't have enough anger in me to enjoy the "vocals". I do heartily agree with doom being a lonely sort of music, but i also believe that music it's self should be an emotional journey that takes to the lofty peaks and the depressing lows equally.
Vocals (unless the singer is extremely talented) are usually secondary to this musical journey, and these don't really add anything to the total experience other than make me want to ignore them to hear the music better.
