This is my latest creation, the Carnivore Cake. It is a chicken breast wrapped in smoked bacon, covered in cheese, encased in sausage meat and coated in breadcrumbs.
Firstly, I cooked the chicken and bacon. This was just to speed it up. I didn't fancy waiting for hours cooking the whole thing on a low heat to make sure the chicken was done properly.
I got a good bargain at Asda, 12 fancy cumberland sausages were in the reduced section. I sqeezed out the meat and flattened it. At this point I covered the sausage meat with grated cheese (Double Glouster with onion and chive). There is no pic of this bit as my hands were all meated up and I didn't fancy getting it on my phone.
I put the chicken in the middle then sealed it up.
I then covered it with egg and rolled it in the breadcrumbs. It was then place into a pre lard covered dish.
I cooked it for 40 mins to an hour. To be honest, I forgot what time I had put it in the oven so I just kept checking it until it looked done.
Two cross sections.
I took 3 slices (about half of it) and served it with some cheesy beans and a bread roll.
It was a very tasty meal indeed. Next time, I would be looking to add more cheese and possibly find some way of adding more meat to it. Suggestions are welcome as to how this can be done without the need to slow cook it all day long.
Make a massive beef burger then slice a hole sideways and bang some bacon in it or cheese or salad then place a big fried egg (two or three mashed together) on top of that and place inbetween some buns.
ummmmm lovely

I've never actually watched that, I hear it is good though. I'll set the plus box to tape it.
I'm liking all the ideas. It got me to thinking that all meat groups should be represented in some way. So far I'm tinking (from the middle out) duck pate, chicken, bacon, thin strips of lamb fillet, cheese (its not meat but it is good) beef burger mince (in place of sausage meat). That would cover game, fowl, pork, lamb and beef. What to do about fish though? I feel the inclusion of fish may spoil the taste. Thoughts please.
