Guess this will be added to the Star Wars Blu Ray boxset which is coming out at christmas 2011.

Also according to Garry Kurtz the old producer who left after Empire Strikes Back, Lucas put the toys ahead of the films (the reason why Kurts left) so thats the reason Return of the Jedi was kind of shit.

I want to travel to an alternate world where Spielberg made Return of the Jedi.

I wonder if Lucas would stoop low enough to film new stuff and dress it up as "unseen footage" to hype up the blue ray. You'd have thought something like that would have come out long ago. Seems odd its been hidden away for so long.

It's legit. I've heard of Luke making his lightsaber from one of those fan made documentaries. Someone made an interesting point with this scene saying something like George Lucas would be stupid enough to cut out a sub plot of Luke battling with the dark side throughout the film.

Interesting to read.
I persoanlly wouldn't mind a reboot entirely, it's good to see other peoples interpretations of the story, obviously i don't want Lucas going anywhere near any remakes. Who knows, they might actually make better prequels, and if it sucks.... fuck it, we still have the original trilogy.

I would welcome any new Star Wars films, just separate them from the only trilogy and let someone else write and direct them.

There's plenty of good books and stories written out there already, just adapt them for film like the Tales of the Jedi, KOTOR or Legacy series.
