Here are some of the tasty treat I ate while in Rome.
I don't know that these things were called but they were like a cross between a crumpet and a scotch pankcake. Topped with chesse, some kind of sausage, ham and cougettes.
This is the 8th best pizza in the world, 1998, from the Ghostbusters pizzaria. The pizza is supposed to look like a ghost, the olives are the eyes. Odd. The pizza was smoked swordfish with grated lemon. Very tasty and surprisingly, it didn't have cheese on.
This is the pudding at Ghostbusters. I went for the small selection of stuff. Very tasty. I liked the way the profiter roll came with a burning sugar cube on top.
Spag bol as a starter, Italy rules!
Followed by grilled cheese.
Then tiramisu and coffee.
In this pic its more like tiramisoooooo.
At the same place, Kate had this rather splendid chocolate pie.
There was one day when we were too knackered from wandering about that we couldn't be bothered going out again. So we had a nice little picnic on the hotel bed.
I had this tasty treat a couple of times. Its a parma ham and cheese toastie. Best toastie ever!
Nutella ice cream by the Trevi Fountain. A nice place to eat.
Finally, THE greatest meat I have ever had. As recommended by HRK, Saltimbocca. I have never before eaten anything as good as this, it was a religious experience. My eyes watered, I became light headed and I almost started crying because it was just sooooooooooooo good. It is veal layered with sage leaves and wrapped in prosciutto ham. I had it with roast potato, artichokes, green beans and a cheesy mash. Heaven.
