Bacon

As this forum doesn't want to let me use my bacon avatar, I thought I would post it here and start to fill out the food and drink section.

The bacon buttie is the best of all butties. Simple and satisfying. How the best food should be. However, I created a rather splendid buttie tonight. It was by no means a contender for the throne but it was well tasty and filling. It shall be seen soon, in its own thread.

Bacon on toast is my favourite way to eat it. :)

My mood often swings between toast or a nice soft white bap. However, after trying it on fruit toast, I think that may well take over as my prefered choice.

That is a good point. I have often thought that the ultimate bacon buttie would be one that uses gammon in place of bread, however, I have yet to try it out. One day though, one day.........

I have. I used to enjoy cheese and bacon toasties but I've not made one for a while. I'd always fry the bacon first then put it in the toastie machine. I tried it raw once, it didn't work out so well.
