Haha, after watching the first trailer I was ready to post that I'd go see it for the amazing destruction alone, and completely forget about plot and characters. Obviously the second knows the score, and made it look even more super.

They know they are right and the world is going to end in 2012, so releasing it then wouldn't allow time for them to use the profits to build spaceships to escape in. Always thinking, those Hollywood types, always thinking.
