Meh. I saw it on the news, switch on Supernatural and at my lamb chops. Anyone else watch Supernatural? That season 4 was a good one. I don't like cliffhanger endings to a series though. I want to know what happens!
Theres a video of them with the body under sheets and moving it into another van to take for the autopsy. Its quite... wierd to see all of this. Its gonna be part of history.
My first album was Bad back in 1987 from WH Smiths in Runcorn shopping city and it taught me that there was more to life than having the piss taken out of me at school, there another world of really cool shit which led me on to the beatles, Meat Loaf, Dire straits then Progressively heavier to megadeth...and here I am!
I'm fucking gutted. I'd like to say rest in peace but no fucking way is that gong to happen.
Once the cockroaches have thrown (now undefendable) allegations at his family, the media have had their fill of scandal (spanning 5 decades and counting) & the 'tribute' merch, bootleggers, and unauthorised books have all had their cash, all that will be left is the best pop, motown and disco music ever known.
The worst bit of all this is that it all ends with a question mark and not a full stop as after all the shit he's been through, this comeback was going to be the dogs danglies. I had a sweepstake of how many of the 50 gigs were going to be cancelled but none played at all kind of kills off the game.

Hmmmm, fills me with mixed emotions this one, Jacko was the first music I loved, I'll continue to love it for the rest of my days too. I think its sad, not only because of his contribution to music and all the people he's inspired over the years, including me, but also because I reckon he was a pretty messed up individual who never really found real happiness in his life.
I guess almost everyone in music who makes a lasting impression has their scandals and shame. The man in black had his amphetamine addiction, adultery, violent temper, the king of rock n roll himself dying a overweight bloated pain killer addicted mess on the latrine and "wacko" had his troubles (i don't really think he messed about with kids, but that will never be proven one way or the other) but his legacy lives on in his music all the same like Elvis and Johnny Cash.
You are right Fleming, after the shit dries out and blows away in the wind, the albums will carry his name on. Not a fan, never will be but you can't deny his impact on popular music.
As for deleting Gav's post though, i personally think that was the wrong thing to do, but i will have a natter with you in person over a brew about that rather than get involved in a silly public argument over the internet which ends up getting way out of hand ;)
I dont think its over the top. A lot of people are saying this, but you have to think... nobody sells albums like MJ, and nobody has as much fans as MJ. Literally everybody in the world seems to know who he is. And hes just dropped from the face of the earth. Gone like that. Such a huge figure is gone, and even if you arent a big fan, this is massive, it is such a sudden change. This man did shape popular music and hes done some naughty things yes, but he is also owed an unbelievable amount of respect.
Look at the way people still treat the death of Elvis. This could be much bigger. MJ lasted in the music world for generations.
Thats it from UK Thrash.
But now, this is the start of a legacy of his music and life that will last forever. Its the end in some ways, but now people can appreciate the music and will do so for hundreds of years i think. In music lessons, kids will have to learn about Michael Jackson, Elis and Jonny Cash instead of Mozart. Thats how it will be one day. I find it hard to comprehend that such a hugely influential figure is gone, just gone... It is beyond strange the feeling that has been left. Like Kev said... its just his life ended with a question mark. This will take a few weeks to figure how he actually died, but some things seem a little fishy right now.
