I thought a picnic would be fun until when i got there I realised I hated grass, flies, the sun, cold pastry and being outdoors. Took the shine off it.

I like to eat...

Wraps, filled with chicken breast, cos lettuce, hard boiled egg, caeser salad dressing and a sprinkling of salt. Or sometimes take the lettuce out and replace it with a bit of melted cheese.

Why not both cheese and lettuce? The lettuce could be added after the cheese melting process.

Because melted cheese makes it a hot wrap, while lettuce makes it a cold wrap.

Don't mix temperatures, that's madness!

Seriously though, it would work. Lettuce works on a burger, a kebbab, a nando's chicken breast burger and it would work here too. Cast you doubts aside and give it a go. Why deny yourself the pleasure of both lettuce and cheese, together? Indulge in the glory of food science, perform the experiment and witness the results for yourself.

And take a photo too.

I'm not helping you with your food porn fetish.

I will never have warm lettuce, that's just a horrible idea.

I would of taken pictures but the people I was eating with would of laughed me off the table. My most notable recent meals was chilli, rice and garlic bread with plenty of cheese to put of various chilli and breads. Then three or four days ago there was steak and chips (steak being a 24oz rump medium cooked) and yesterday a roast chicken dinner only notable because the yorkshire pudding took up half the plate.

Paprika ist krieg. One of the most under-rated spices. Do a 50/50 split with chilli powder for stuff you're making spicey. Opens up a whole new world of nom.

Paprika is war? Jeb-end!

After a vodka-thon with HRK, The M.L and Leighsus last night, i woke up feeling a little under the weather.  After 4 puking sessions i was running on empty.  What better way to fill that void than with a nice fry up brunch...

Cheese Omelette, Chinese mushrooms, Veggie Lincolnshire sausages, BBQ beans, a hand ful of chips and a round of fried bread.

Equilibrium satisfyingly restored.

I am not a great cook, but another culinary success this week was to use some left over chilli con carne and a handful of greated cheese to make a pie.  I have never really made a pie before so i was well chuffed with this effort....and it was very tasty too.DSC00417.jpg

As non-meat fry ups go, that looks rather tasty.

For the pie, did you make the pastry yourself of was it that ready made rolled up stuff you can buy?

I made the pastry myself, which is why i was so chuffed.

Splendid. Home made is always better. It allows for the butter content to be increased.

Its another big ass fry up. This time with potato cakes and english muffins, in the place of waffles and sliced bread.
